[edit] Canto XX

What goes up
Must come down
Or something else will.

Are you
The answer to all my prayers?
Yes.

I can find food in dumpsters,
Camel Cash
Can buy the rest.

Turn left at the light,
Go to the end of the block,
It's on your right.

If I put all my things
Into one big pile,
Would you join me at the bottom?

The man taking pennies from the fountain,
Is he a cheapskate
Or is he the Grantor of Wishes?

My socks have holes in them,
But I keep hoping
If I feed and water them regularly...

Cigarettes can replace food
Because
Television can replace religion.

The garbage truck comes
And takes away my sins
Thank you thank you thank you.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
And remember what
Pieces there may be in Sirens.
