I began to realize that many of my friends now have web presences of various kinds. Some are actually quite extensive. Some seem to come and go. Let's weave the network...

My wife Heather loves to belly dance. Even preparing can be fun. She has danced at Corona MECDA and Rakkasah. We began living together in Diyafa, though now we own our own home. I've chronicled her experience with uterine fibroids.

Liquid-O is Rabbit's collaborative musical/vehicular experience. DJ Wolfie promotes and organizes events in LA and San Diego. He's an authentic and generous guy and we encounter each other at many events. DJ Blue organized the amazing Fuente Eterno and Alma Paradiso festivals in Baja.

The plaid-obsessed Jenn Ramsey is a local burner. I met Ken Romero through the same crowd, though he's a Hawaiian these days. He created the savage and abstract Burning The Man Vectorization Experiment. He has a blog on Tribe. Another burner friend is Magnus, a talented blacksmith. Sinclair Stratton is a beautiful artist that I got to know at the 2004 burn. She maintains a blog here. Jen Evonne painted a portrait of Heather and me. Her blog is here. Aaron Rix is a talented photographer and digital artist.

Marta Cobb was once one of my very closest friends... we went all the way back to high school. Here she is getting married. Another old friend of mine is Tom Hannebaum, who still lives in my hometown.

Chris Staszak and I used to work together at Semantic Research. His blog is here. Tim LaMarca was there too. He went skydiving a few years back.

Patri Friedman has known Russ for years. His LJ blog is here. He lives in a commune in Sunnyvale called the Alpine Butterfly Lodge. My friend Dawn Strahler lives there too. I met Chiara LaRotonda in this context, through the ABL/Harvey Mudd tribe.

In 2002, when I went to Burning Man with ABL, I got to know a group of people that call themselves Bloodletting. There I also met Troy Gardner. Also there's his LJ blog. Brian Johnson, who shared my tent that year, blogs here.

LiveJournal and Tribe seem to be popular with many of my friends. Through LJ I met BRKVW: his blog is here.

From Portland is Paul Berry, though I actually met him at Burning Man 2003. His blog is here. When I lived there, and even before, I used to date Kelly Thomas.

Rose Murphy is a union activist. Here she is getting arrested.

Bob Lozano was in charge of Tapestry Computing Inc. He hired me, giving me my first job in the software world. He's a warm and truly decent man, and I admire him. He now has a blog.
