Woke up groggy. I had a weird, confusing, and sad dream.
Later that morning, the sky was overcast and it was cool. Heather and I went for another day outing.
We headed towards the Man, again. Sounds monotonous, but every time we did, we found something new. Found new sculptures and saw that the Man had a head again. Now it had a metal phoenix emblem.
We encountered Katherine under the Man, in the renewable energy science expo tent under the Man. All this was closed by the arson but was now reopened. Katherine is Amaya's sister and someone I've been getting to know recently. She is of course super intelligent and really nice. She did some work for one of the exhibits in the tent.
Then, encountered dust storm #2. Heather and I went into the sculpture directly under the man. This was a new experience.
The dust storm subsided, gradually. We headed down the 9:00 Promenade to a part of the city I'd not yet seen at all. The storm picked up again. My face mask strap broke; I held it over my face, squinting into the dust. When we got to Esplanade, we went off the 10:00 end to see the Big Rig Jig. I loved it. You could climb inside it to the top.
